Former Mayoral candidate Chris Nettles, and Kennedale Councilwoman Sandra Lee went above and beyond to speak for us, and we were also joined by SBOE 11 candidate Dr. Carla Morton and HD97 candidate Beth McLaughlin. It was a beautiful evening made possible by everyone coming together. Thank you.

Boy did we knock on a lot of doors this weekend! We held 4 group block walks, and we are so immensely grateful for all of our volunteers!

November 12, 2017

I ran the half marathon at the Fort Worth Marathon. What an absolutely beautiful morning, and wonderful event. Please read my post about it here.

November 11, 2017

Veteran's Day was a busy one. I used my time at the Tarrant County Democratic Women's club to honor my grandparents - 3 of which were veterans. My grandmother was one of the first women to enlist in the Army - she was a Women's Airforce Service Pilot, and she flew B-26 bombers during World War II.

We also joined Colonel Kim Olson at her Fort Worth kick off, and Beth McLaughlin at her fundraiser.

November 10, 2017

I missed the Wild Women Luncheon - but I got to present my research to a national diabetes conference. We all do what we can to change the world for the better a little bit every day.

November 4, 2017

We held a Town Hall at the Dock Bookshop in Eastside. We saw many new and familiar faces and had two hours of thorough conversation, questions, and sharing of ideas. We also had the opportunity to meet a high school student leadership group.

Today, alongside the female Congressional candidates in North Texas and so many others in Fort Worth, we took a stand for love.

What a full day! Worked with animals in Mansfield, held a meet & greet in Fairmount, blockwalked in Bedford, and enjoyed the park in Benbrook. Great day in SD10 <3

September 24, 2017

A truly fantastic candidate forum held by the young democrats at the University of Texas at Arlington, alongside Indivisible, for the candidates for the Congressional 6th district of Texas. The event was moderated by the inimitable Ced May, and we were so happy to see the Progressive Women of Arlington in attendance!

September 4, 2017

Labor Day. Today we celebrated how strong we are together, and how appreciative we are of our unions. We started off at the Dallas AFL-CIO breakfast, where the #WomenonFire candidates pledged $1,500 to Hurricane Harvey relief, and the room raised $50,000 in total in a matter of minutes. Truly inspiring.

Then we headed on over to the UAW 218 picnic where Allison was honored to speak!

August 15th, 2017

We met up after work and stayed up late to urge the Fort Worth City Council to join the legislation against SB4. United Fort Worth's effort in this has been absolutely stellar. The overflow room was still itself overflowing at 9pm as citizens testified until after midnight. The decision didn't go the way we hoped, but the fight isn't over.

August 9-12, 2017

We were so fortunate to get to enjoy the National Young Democrats of America Convention right in our backyard, at the Galleria in Dallas. Our campaign even made the national news on Al Jazeera!

August 7th, 2017

Allison's 30th birthday, which she was fortunate enough to spend with the Texans R United Bedford Indivisible group. From her post that day:

"Today is my 30th birthday. President John F Kennedy was a sitting Congressman by the age of the 30, and Vice President Joe Biden was a United States Senator. President Bill Clinton was the Attorney General of Arkansas by 30. It looks like I may be a little behind the curve but no worries - I'm right on their coat tails! "

August 5th, 2017

What a day! Team Campolo used their morning to block walk for Vanessa Adia for TX Congressional 12th district, we hosted our own meet n greet at Tio Carlos in Colleyville, and we supported Beth McLaughlin as she kicked off her campaign for HD97. At our meet n' greet, Allison, Mica Ringo (HD98), and Steve Riddell (HD92) fielded questions for over an hour from the audience! What an exhilarating day. And someone made Allison a fan - "fight like a girl". Perfection!

July 29, 2017

We headed down to Austin to help fight for universal healthcare for all. One of our main priorities is to either properly expand Medicaid in Texas or to adopt a single-payer healthcare system for all at the state level. It's time to take our state and our country back. The turnout for this march and day of activism was fantastic - we packed the sidewalks to make our message seen, and we wrote letters and postcards to our US Senators. And always remember: today we march, but tomorrow we vote! Our ONLY true power lies in the vote. Let's use it!

July 27, 2017

I was so excited to be the guest of honor at the Mid-Cities Democrats July meeting! We had a truly excellent discussion and the questions from the audience were both varied and intriguing. There wasn't an open seat in the house!

Another inspiring evening with the activated and organized folks at the 360 Corridor Democratic Action group.

June 24, 2017

What an inspirational evening alongside 9 other women candidates in DFW!

June 12, 2017

I was honored to be invited to tour the Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy, a magnet school which takes students from all over the metroplex and focuses on character and leadership alongside academics. It is crucially important to go to the source when we need to fix academics: ask parents, ask students, ask teachers.

In the evening, we got to hear from the esteemed Kathy Bowser from the LGBT Coalition for Aging at the Tarrant County Stonewall Democrats monthly meeting.

June 10, 2017

As always, a wonderful day with the Tarrant County Democratic Women, with speaker Marc Veasey, and an absolutely magnificent meeting with Indivisible FWTX.

 June 8, 2017

Vanessa Adia's kickoff event for her run for the US Congressional 12th district was a huge success!

June 3, 2017

An incredibly inspirational day from top to bottom. It was a day of engaged citizens, of activated candidates, of making plans to take on the world, and most importantly hearing stories from people who are ready to see a change. The activity of the March for Truth, the volunteered time and effort for those who are working for my campaign, and the incredibly moving and heart wrenching stories from victims of gun violence at the Moms Demand Action - Wear Orange Event made today unforgettable. Thank you, Fort Worth.

Texans are ready for a change!
